New Class: How We Got the Bible

Evening class thru Wed., Feb. 20; day class began Tues., Feb. 12

Wednesdays at 7 P.M., led by Father Roger

Tuesdays at 1 P.M., led by Ken Skoczlas, Diane Barber and Betty Freberg

Come for this six-week class to learn from scripture and history expert and author Dr. Timothy Paul Jones. We'll watch a video each week, we'll enjoy a time of discussion and we'll each have a Participant Guide with questions to reflect on and answer at home. Order your Participant Guide from Amazon for $9.99.

This class will answer these questions and more:

  • What's so special about the Bible?
  • How did we get the Old Testament and the New Testament?
  • How were the books of the New Testament chosen?
  • How was the New Testament copied?
  • How did we get the Bible in English?
  • Why are there so many translations?
  • What does "the Bible is inspired and inerrant" mean?
  • How did people preserve the text of the Bible over the centuries?
  • How do we know the New Testament is reliable?
  • What are the stories behind names like John Wycliffe and William Tyndale?

To sign up for the Wednesday evening or Tuesday afternoon class, call the church office at 817-237-1888, email Bev at bev@stannesfw.org or sign up at the Welcome Center.
